never mind that this is the same horseshit that I hear from the same person who complains about identity politics in the most facile ways. because it’s following on that discussion where, try as I might, for fucking years, to discuss the history of identity politics as flowing from something that’s a lot more freakin’ complicated than the way it’s incessantly portrayed. Obviously, there is a critique to be made of identity politics — and lo! — those same people laden down with those identities are making them. I could babble on and on about maria lugones or bell hooks or e. frances white or gloria anzaldua or ana louise keating or matilda (aka matt bernstiein) or the women and men writing in this bridge we call home. it just doesn’t freakin’ matter what I say. i might as well have never have typed it.
more on this later. i had to freakin’ scream. if I’m not too whooped, I’m going to freakin’ scream later thought. I am pissed off.
