Wear Clean Draws  (’coz there’s 5 million ways to kill a ceo)

posting will be heavier

heh. only heavier because I am cleaning and packing for the move, so I take a break every so often by plopping my fat, dimply, pimply ass in front of the computer to read lbo and surf blogs. not much surfing because there are no decent blogs to read any more.

i tend not to look at stats much these days, but did recently b/c of the asshole comment left about having too much time on my/our hands at WCD. in so doing, i noticed that a recent search brought someone here to find out “how to clean puke out of a shag carpet”. :)

i’d put photos up at the old blog but took them down because there was too much traffic in assholes at the time. not much lately, but i did take some pics of the ducks that got off course during a storm. i walked out to the porch, on my way to work, and they were out there cussing up a storm trying to figure which way to go, i guess. took some photos of my current neighborhood, which i’m going to miss so fucking much i’m going to cry right now. and a picture of the one nation undergod sign, part of a campaign around here last year. put on by some rightwing religious folks who think that the nation was built by dog hisself.

  1. ONUG died in 2007?

  2. i think they are referring to the date between “the landing” on dog’s special nation’s shores to the 400 year anniversary of said landing. reading the history of the area, of course, reveals that the date, 1607, is more than a little arbitrary.

nice to see you around, chuckie, i should write you back but, guh, i hate to type trite stuff atchya. i am glad to hear that you had a clouds lifting moment. when i get my vacation, i’ll have to make it a trip your way… although, my ex-boss — the nice, recent one — has invited me to go to her wedding in india this winter, so i don’t know how that will work. guh. i want to go but i will hate spending vacation days on the trip. and will equally hate working long hours the week before and after so as to avoid using vacation days.

lucky me, though, to have such problems.

    ok. back to packing.

    a nap sounds good though.

  3. also, the fountain is the one right outside the bedroom window. we moved here last september and two days later, they promptly turned it off. why, i have no idea. it’s not like it freezes around here. shit, there are pansies and all kinds of flowers blooming year round. we were bummed about loosing the fountain, though, because it was so relazing to listen to it at night. we went to d.c. friday night and got back really late. sat out on the porch, enjoying the cool weather, the breeze, and the fountain sounds.

    *sigh*

trying to decide if i want to blow cash on some replica of a fountain i see they sell these days.

probably not. but i do so love these beautifyl chimes we saw at a local hardware store. r thinks he can make some like the ones he saw in the story. naturally, all the equipment and crap he’ll have to buy in order to do it will make the homemade ones cost far more than were i to just plunk down 200 clams and buy them.

i guess he could have worse hobbies.

  4. The fountain? I was admiring that parking deck!

And that flight to India is a loooooong one.

This week I have been future oriented. Be careful or I will be mailing you reports on books chosen from the extensive lists you have posted. Teaching is great, but that grading …
