Wear Clean Draws  (’coz there’s 5 million ways to kill a ceo)

i’m supposed to get up in 4 hrs., but i read the latest on obama and abortion

By shag carpet bomb • Jul 7th, 2008 • Category: Election 2008, Obama, Third way triangulating b.s.

so, i checked into blogs and i see all these people having meltdowns because some people are expressing a desire to vote mccain or mckinney or abstain this year.

i don’t quite get the meltdown. isn’t that what we’re supposed to do? i mean, if you are progressive and still buy into this sham called elections, what is the point if you keep voting for the fuckers no matter what they do. the meltdowns and outcry, “how could you? how dare you threaten obama’s win!” it is quite amazing.

uh, cause, gee, if y’all worked together and, you know, all send in your torn up ballot (or whatever), letting him know that y’all would have voted for him had he kept to the *cough* left, maybe someone or fifty would catch an errant klew.

dude might, with luck, win anyway, in spite of the protest vote/non-votes. but the bean counters would be watching and they might start to twig to the idea that there are, you know, progressives out there and it’s a real, you know, force to be reckoned with.

but whatever. it’s late and i really should get some sleep. nighty night.

  1. Of course, Shag, the “ABMcC’s” and Obama groupies and the Dem hacks will break out the “How DARE you leftists vote for anyone other than a Democrat; don’t you know that McCain is Reagan/Bush incarnate and will put fascists on the Supreme Court???” card. It’s really all they have left to justify their support for whatever Democrat is running.

It’s as if if you are to the Left of them, you shouldn’t even exist, or that you are a right-wing mole.

The funnier thing, though, is watching all those “prowgwessives” who are sooooooooo upset with Obama tacking Right that they are seriously considering voting for….Bob Barr?!?! (Or Ron Paul, if he rides back again.) Yeah, right…there’s a mighty pro-choice progressive choice, right there; he defends the right of the White supremacists to fly the Confederate flag in defense of slavery…..errrrrrrr, sorry, I mean, defend “White Southern culture”; and he is as antiabortion as Ron Paul is. And..he’s voted for every piece of Republican legislation possible. He’s about as much a Libertarian as I am a conservative Democrat.

Lie in bed with dogs, don’t complain about the fleas in the morning, I always say.

  2. pretty much. it’s a game of shaming people for abstaining. you must vote for the dem b/c it’ll be worse if you dn’t. sometimes, the dime’s worth of difference has mattered. i’m not seeing it this time — whether it’d been obama or clinton. both were equally crappy and i wasn’t motivated and rmain unmotivated to bother with preventing mccain from winning.

and frankly, the more of the crap i see from the so called progressives and radicals, the more i will dance a jib when obama loses. i hope he does, in fact.

wait for it: the outrage! :)

  3. oh, and btw, a lot of people react to that with: don’t you care about people dying all over the rest of the world because of the republicans.

    sister, please!

what’ was the tally of clinton’s death toll through sanctions of iraq? hmmm?

but never mind even that: i would personally rather not have obama as the velvet glove and bright shiny LEGITIMATING face of us imperialism.

cause that’s what he is. he will legitimate us imperialism. he will make some people in other coutnries feel good about the u.s. and its bullshit around the world. he’s black, isn’t it so special! finally, a liberal u.s. president who will rule the world in that wise, judicious way. blah blah blah.

what a load of horse shit. we don’t need to legitimate u.s. imperialism with a black face, mmmkay?

  4. oh. bye! i really have to heed my own desires and get the fuck outta dodge and down to that latino festival
