By shag carpet bomb • Jun 1st, 2009 • Category: Belly Button Lintwhee! i finally got my bike out of storage (i.e., buried behind all the crap) and went for a bike ride! Whee!
I’d forgotten how much i missed riding a bike. And, for the most part, this neighborhood is tres awesome for riding. Plus, you can go just about anywhere and find people walking about, or sitting at sidewalk cafes or outside one of the several coffee shops.
Here are some pics I found on the Web. The main drag:
The Canadian snow geese, which I love. They waddle in flocks all around here. You can find them around parking lots, hanging out near the mall, at the high school and just anywhere they damn please. Here, they’re swimming on what is called The Hague, which was built and named that after the Treaty of Ghent:

Believe it or not, i haven’t actually been here to view the art collections, even though we’ve lived less than half a mile from the place for 2 years now. It was where we voted, though. Chrysler Museum of Art:
